California TVS Operator Renewal — 4 Hour
The four-hour program for licensed California traffic violator school operators renewing their license. Fourteen short lessons revisit the operator’s core duties, from curriculum oversight and records to regulations, complaints and DMV actions.
Who is this course for?
Choose the 4-hour course if you hold a current California TVS operator license and are renewing it. DMV accepts a 4-hour program certificate with your renewal in place of retaking the operator examination; check your renewal notice for what yours requires.
What you’ll study
- The operator’s role, approvals and licensing dates
- TVS curriculum requirements and road-safety content
- Teaching adults, accessibility and student participation online
- Records, privacy, office practices and completion control
- Instructor authority and the operator’s daily duties
- Regulations, advertising, complaints and DMV actions
Each lesson works through a realistic case from running a traffic violator school. Your progress saves between visits.
Course length and completion
This 4-hour program has 14 lessons and a final exam.
You need a current California driver license. Its number is printed on your Certificate of Completion, which you can print as soon as you pass.
After you finish
Print your Certificate of Completion as soon as you pass the final exam, and submit it with your operator license renewal within one year of completing the course. Finishing the course does not renew your license by itself.
